Ester's catalogue
The catalogue is Intersolia's global collection of chemical products and their safety data sheets (SDS). It is the foundation for all chemical management work in Ester — when you add a product to your organisation, the information is pulled from here.
Who owns the products in the database? The products in the chemical database are owned and maintained by Intersolia, not by you as the customer. This means that you as a user do not need to upload, create or maintain safety data sheets. We do that.
This is an important distinction: your chemical inventory contains the products your organisation uses, but the product data itself — SDS, hazard statements, composition — always comes from the chemical database.
How does it work in practice? When you want to register a chemical product in your organisation, you search for it in Ester's catalogue. If you find it, you add it to your site tree, and all relevant information follows automatically.
Intersolia is responsible for:
- Collecting safety data sheets from suppliers
- Structuring and quality-assuring the data from PDF format
- Keeping the information up to date when new versions of the SDS are published
You don't have to handle SDS documents manually. You always work with structured, machine-readable product data, which makes it possible for Ester to automatically calculate risk levels, match against regulatory lists and flag hazardous substances in your organisation.
